I've always had a love affair with retail design so decided to use my Masters in Design to immerse myself further in this subject.
My major project involved design proposals for four pop-up shops using the Bikini Berlin boxes concept, where brands have a pop up shop. The shops are held in a lively and high footfall listed building.
As the course went on I focused on the shopping experience and how bricks and mortar retail is fighting a move to online retail. One area that became of particular interest was retail theatrics which involves the store putting on a performance. Therefore, using theatre design to inspire the design process.
