I noticed a lot of differences between the UK and China, more things than just weather and transport. This influenced my work for this project. In China I cook a traditional meal for breakfast, but the English breakfast is very different, so I created this work about those differences.
I go shopping and cook food everyday for myself. You see different vegetables here in the UK than in China. I started to like some British traditional dishes like fish and chips.
My collages and illustrations are inspired by my everyday life in the UK, that is why I draw myself in my illustrations.
One of my final prints is the picnic illustration. In China picnicking is not popular for young people. Karaoke is more popular for young people. I like to go to the park and sit at the river to picnic. The prints and posters will be framed and the aim is for them to become gallery shop products.
During this one year period I enjoyed the freedom to explore differences between places, pushing me to keep on going towards my aesthetic pursuit. email@example.com
